Jade Hargrave’s ministry journey began long before her formal theological training, and is rooted in her childhood experiences at church. From an early age, Jade felt drawn to Sunday School and loved to attend worship services with her grandparents. One of her fondest memories is standing in worship next to her grandmother, listening to Granny’s bold, beautiful singing of the “old, old story”—the story of God’s blessed assurance and wonderous love for us. This deep connection to faith and family instilled in Jade a lifelong passion for ministry.

As a teen and college student, Jade served as a counselor at an Appalachian church camp for underprivileged children. It was in that gritty, primitive camping environment where Jade’s gifts were named and nurtured: patience, humor, compassion, a knack for making others feel heard and valued. Jade developed a passion for working with youth and the powerful potential of community building to offer healing, growth and support. This experience continues to guide her approach to ministry today.Jade completed her M.Div. from the Boston University School of Theology in 2020, where her studies focused on pastoral care, global and community engagement, and conflict transformation. She has been a member of the Wellesley Village Church for 20 years, and has been actively involved in the Family Life ministries for youth of all ages.

Jade also brings her leadership skills to her role as Chief Financial Officer for Media Shower, a global marketing agency based in Boston, MA. With an MBA from Simmons University, she has a unique ability to balance her spiritual vocation with professional responsibilities.
Jade lives in Sherborn with her husband, John, their children, Izzy and Luke, their beloved dog, Piper, and four plucky chickens. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, playing board games with friends, and watching British television.
