Celebrating Black History Month and Our BETTER TOGETHER Parnership – SNECUCC Article

To highlight Black History Month, Marlene Gasdia-Cochrane recently published an article for the SNECUCC website about the “Better Together” covenant between Charles Street AME and Village Church.
The article “Who’s the Real Debtor Here?” reflects on the successful collaboration between both churches, marking the one-year anniversary of our Better Together partnership and the achievement of retiring a $1.2 million debt on the historic Charles Street church. This partnership embodies the spirit of reconciliation and proactive support, with plans for ongoing collaboration and shared worship in the mortgage-free sanctuary. Rev. Butter emphasizes the significance of this bond, elevating it as a model of healing and community unity.
