2025 SERVICE MINISTRY SMALL GRANTS Application Process is now open!
The Service Ministry of Village Church is dedicated to supporting our neighbors in need. We are pleased to offer small grants annually to organizations providing essential services such as food, shelter, clothing, medical assistance, counseling, ministerial support, and other forms of aid across our local communities.
We are excited to announce that our 2025 Grant Application Process is now open and available online. Please note that hard copy submissions will no longer be accepted. If you wish to apply this year, you can access the online application through the button link below.
The deadline for grant application submissions this year is Friday, September 26, 2025. Late applications will not be considered.
Grant Evaluation Criteria:
Village Church is particularly interested in awarding grants to organizations that:
- Deliver Direct Services: Focus on providing tangible, direct services to the populations they serve.
- Demonstrate Financial Impact: Show how the grant would significantly impact the organization’s mission, especially considering the applicant’s other income sources and the size of its endowment.
- Offer Volunteer Opportunities: Identify specific volunteer opportunities available to members of Village Church in Wellesley & Weston and/or The Historic Charles Street AME Church.
Award funds:
will be paid using our Accounts Payable system, BILL.com, for the grant disbursement process. Bill.com will send award recipients an email invitation to connect to the system. You can enter your direct deposit information, or the system will mail you a check. Should you have any question, please email our Accountant, Betsy Lusa, at accountant@wellesleyvillagechurch.org.
We carefully evaluate each application, and we find great inspiration and reward in learning about the missions served by such dedicated organizations. We look forward to your application.
Service Fair:
The Annual Village Church Wellesley/Weston Service Fair will be held on Epiphany Sunday, January 4, 2026. Please note that date in your planning calendars. Recipients of the grants will be invited to attend the Service Fair. An invitation to the Service Fair will be emailed to all recipients with the notice of the grant award. The invitation will contain details for your participation.
